Genevieve Gladys (Sawyer) Wright
Geneviene, age 94, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 13th, 2018. She was born September 15th, 1923 in Tacoma to Ed and Francis Sawyer and raised in Eatonville, Washington with eight brothers and sisters.
In 1944, she met the love of her life, Albert Wright (Bert) on a blind date arranged by her cousin. They married and raised three sons in Tacoma. She is survived by her sister, Donna Morgan (Dave) of Yelm, sons Robert (Tammy), Randall (Lana) of Tacoma, Ronald of Bellingham, five grandchildren, Todd Wright, Shaun Dorman, Ange Cgraggen (Chris), Abby and Marina Wright. She retired as a retail clerk for Frederick and Nelson in 1985. She loved cooking, sewing, was an avid gardener, and especially loved her grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at noon Monday, January 22nd at Mountain View Memorial Park, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd, in Tacoma.
