I am so saddened to see Ginger has passed. I used to work as a visiting Angel for Vern back in 2019 and early 2020. Seeing them was definitely the highlight of my day and they truly made a positive impact on my life. The stories she told me always brought me such joy. She used to call me her spider killer and gifted me one of those cute novelty spider rings as a funny joke around Halloween. I remember her telling me the story of her and the squirrel and how she made light of that scary experience.. I can’t see a large spider or a squirrel without thinking of her. I am so glad I got to know her when I did but am so terribly sad I won’t get to see her again. My heartfelt condolences to her family and especially Vern.

My Father and Mother were Harry and Ida Tillman, my Mother being Vernon's Sister. Many times through the years Dad, Mom, and I would stay at Vernon and Gen's and visit for a day or two. Aunt Gen and I always found something to talk about, and it always meant a lot to me that she would take the time to talk with me, especially when I was young. She was kind, smart, and beautiful, and I think of her often.

Aunt Gen was so warm and welcoming during our yearly visits, her loving care of our Uncle Vernon meant a lot to us. Her energy and enthusiasm were an inspiration and we always looked forward to hearing about her latest projects and activities.
She will always hold a special place in our hearts.

When I was the administrator at St. Frances Cabrini, I remember going to Gen and VO's home to learn how to read spreadsheets and other financial documents. I sure did learn a heck of a lot! I remember that Gen was always so upbeat, full of life, always happy. We will all miss her.
