Genevieve M. Lovelady's Obituary
Genevieve "Jenny" Marie Dolman Lovelady 10-15-1920 ~~ 7-11-2011 Genevieve passed away July 11, 2011 at home with family by her side. Born to John and Marie Dolman in Tacoma Washington where she lived all her life. She came from Manitou! Genevieve graduated from Lincoln High School class of 1938. She married Ernest Lovelady April 27, 1943. Together they raised 7 children until Ernest death in 1972. Genevieve devoted her life to her family and community. In the 50's she was Den Mother of pack 28. She enjoyed cooking, canning, family activities, such as camping, fishing, family gatherings, creating a warm and loving atmosphere for her family always putting their needs before her own. She loved her rides and stopping for a DQ ice cream. She will be remembered for the BIG HUGS she gave all. She will be missed by all whose lives she has touched. Genevieve was called MOM or Grandma by the friends of her children. She is survived by sons, Edward, SilverCreek, Guy (Mary), Kenewick; daughters, Dorothy Koren (Ron), Clear Lake MN, Maxine Edenfield, Lakewood; Daughter in law, Barbara (Gary) Lovelady; cousin Jack Dolman, Rochester; 19 grandchildren; 18 1/2 great grandchildren. Proceeded in death by husband Ernest; sons, Gary, Marshall and Gerald; Son in law James A. Edenfield; daughter in law Linda; grandson Mark. Services will be held in the Garden Chapel at Mountain View Cemetery, Tacoma, Washington on July 20, 2011 at 2:00 pm. Following the service there will be a gathering and potluck at the Fairfield Mobile Homes Estate 9201 29th Ave. Ct.S. Clubhouse. Special thank you's to Sharna Charles, Judy Carter and Ken Stockton for the care and love they showed mom. Also Franciscan Hospice staff for all the help and support!
