Geneva Alaine Wilson's Obituary
Geneva Alaine (McBride) WilsonGeneva was born on February 16, 1916 on the Nez Perc Indian Reservation in Spaulding, Idaho. She passed away in Tacoma, WA on March 17, 2003, after a courageous 15 year battle with breast cancer. She was a longtime resident of Tacoma. Geneva graduated from South Kitsap High School in Port Orchard, WA, in 1934. Her graduation friends still meet for lunch whenever possible. She graduated from Madame DuncanÂ's Beauty School in 1937. In 1938 she married Gordon Wilson, a longshoreman. They enjoyed traveling extensively through out the world with family and friends. Geneva was an avid bowler and bowled in many leagues until she was 86. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary, Puyallup # 2308. She was a member of the How Dance Club, which meets monthly for luncheons. Geneva loved life, family, friends, dancing, playing cards, golfing, cake decorating, and clam digging. The family would like to thank Dr. Alfred ChanÂ's office for their wonderful care and also the staff at St. Clare Hospital. We would like to thank the staff at Mill Ridge Village Retirement Home for their loving care which she received for the past year. She will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband Gordon in 1994. They were married for 56 years. She is survived by her daughter Judy A. Miller and husband Fred, grandson Troy F. Miller (Heather) granddaughter Kendra A. Richard (Dave), step daughter Debbi Friedt (Mike), step grandson Rick Miller (Cheryl), great-grandchildren Austin, Lawton, Tyler, Anthony, Rachel, Donald, and Michelle. Also survived by niece Beverly Anderson of North Hollywood, California and many other special nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be April 5, 2003 at 11 AM in the Mt.
