Gene D Coen's Obituary
Celebrating the life of Gene D Coen, born on December 28, 1931, in Youngstown, Ohio. Where he lived until he was three years old. His parents were Presley D Coen and Lena May Walker. He was the first of three children.
He attended Muncie Indiana High School from 1946 to 1949. He retired after working 38 years as a Route Supervisor for Peerless Laundry in Tacoma, WA.
He is survived by 3 daughters, Tracy Coen, Melinda Rembert Coen, Vanessa Manning (Coen) and 5 grandchildren.
He was member of the Elks Lodge in Lakewood, WA and was the Exalted Ruler from 1979 to 1980. He served in the US Army (Retired).
His most important event in his life was being the Golden Gloves Champion in 1946, in Muncie Indiana at the age of sixteen.
He was an avid sports fan, GO HAWKS!!!. He loved singing and had an interest in a wide variety of music; He was also a wonderfully colorful story teller.
