Gayle was a treasure in the pharmacy.
As Medical Director of Puget Sound Behavioral Health hospital, I was under stress, to say the least. After a particularly bad batch of meetings (every week), I would go to the pharmacy (only air conditioned area in the patient care section) to prepare my resignation speech. Gayle would take me by the forearm, flash her beautiful blues at me and say, "You can't quit - a lot of people depend on you to keep the place going. You can't do that to them - you're their chief." Thus guilt tripped, I would go for another week.
Goodbye, Gayle, and Godspeed,
