I have many good memories of Gary. The many summers Travis and I would come and visit. The one that I keep coming back to is the time we loaded up all the cousins in Cheyenne, Wy in the Bronco with motor bikes in tow heading back to Logan, Nd to grandma and grandpa's house. I believe we had the backseat out and we all made beds for the trip. Looking back now I come to realize Gary had A LOT of patience with all the trouble Justin and Travis would get all of us into. When we got to our destination the motor bikes came out and the fun began. I only remember Gary getting after me a couple times. I don't remember him telling me the bikes had two gears and as soon as I found the other gear I was off. Needless to say, he told me to slow down but it was all for the good as I look back on it now. He more than likely saved me some skin. Another time he got after me was when some ramps were built and we started jumping the motor bikes. Thanks Justin! Also, something I think about to this day is for Gary and Raedel to allow or take the time for all the cousins to spend time together in the summer at their house. With some of the trips ending back in Logan, Nd but not really ending as we had the bikes and miles of country to terrorize for some more of the summer. As my story comes to an end with so many more I could share of Gary and the impact he had on me as kid we cannot forgot to leave out the Odyssey era. That's another story in itself.
