Gary R. Smith was born in Florida on August 9, 1952 and passed away while vacationing in Israel on March 24, 2014. A memorial service will be held at the Fort Lewis Main Post Chapel, Joint Base Lewis McChord, Saturday, April 5, 2014, at 2:00PM. Committal services and burial will take place on Monday, April 7, 2014, at 9:15AM at Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent, WA.
