Gary L. Wallen's Obituary
Mr. Gary L. Wallen was born May 9, 1950 in Chicago, IL and passed away September 10, 2005 after a hard fight with Parkinsons Disease.Mr. Wallen graduated from Lake View High School in Chicago, IL, and married the love of his life shortly after Gary Wallen worked for years in the Animal Control Field and in time moved to Houston, TX with his family. Mr. Wallen continued working in the Animal Control Field, and even had the Houston Chronicle write a newspaper article about him for his good deeds. Mr. Wallen was in charge of the delivery staff at the flower shop at Restland Funeral Home for his final career choice.Gary Wallen will be remembered by his friends and family as someone that could always bring a smile to your face just by his laugh. He was known for his jokes, his pranks, his good moral and his deeds. He shared his love of fishing and being in the great outdoors with family and friends.He was preceded in death by his daughter Diane K. (Wallen) Thomas. Mr. Wallen is survived by his wife of 33 years, Olga (Augie) Wallen; son Edward Wallen, son-in-law David Thomas, other family members, and many other loved ones that can be considered family.
