Garrison Eugene ThomasÂ"The DudeÂ"Gary Â"The DudeÂ" Thomas was 39 when he unexpectedly passed away on April 7, 2004. He was taken far too soon from those who loved him. Gary was born November 2, 1964 in Tacoma, WA. He moved to Bellingham in 1983, shortly after graduating from Yelm High School to attended WWU. Gary was most recently employed at the Arco Refinery in Bellingham. In 1984 Gary traveled with the WWU team to play summer league baseball in Mexico, leading the entire league in batting average. He was an avid body builder who took 1st place in several competitions. Gary loved traveling, sports cars, and sporting events. He is survived by his mother Dixie Brewster (L.J.) and father Charlie Thomas, fiancée, Mare Hagadorn, grandfather Kenneth Stewart, brothers Sam, Charlie, and Kenny (Brenda), sisters Teri Gonzalez (Ruben) and Charlene Johnson (Shamiek), 14 nieces and nephews, one great-niece and many, many friends who will all cherish his memory. Viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2004 from 2-9PM at Mt. View Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 14, 2004 at 1:00 PM in the Mt. View Garden Chapel. When tomorrow starts without me, donÂ't think weÂ' re far apart, for every time you think of me, IÂ'm right here in your heart.
