Gail Luella Pederson's Obituary
Gail Luella Pederson passed away peacefully at home into the arms of heaven and her beloved husband Ruel on June 4, 2007; their 68th wedding anniversary. She was born Gail Luella Frannea to Charles and Gena Frannea on April 12, 1917 in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. She was so happy to have celebrated her 90th birthday with loved ones before she left this earth.Gail's "career" was an expert homemaker. She took the greatest pleasure in keeping a warm and loving home for her family. She was what everyone would dream of in a mother. A member of All Saints Episcopal Church, her steadfast faith was a guiding light for all her children. A member of Alling Park Garden Club and Bay Belles' Designer Club, her love of flowers and gardening was a continuous hobby. A member of Tahoma Dance Club, she loved to dance with Ruel and now is dancing with him in heaven. In recent years, she became a member of the Red Hat Society, which brought her great joy and treasured friendships. Gail was a lifetime member of the Elks.A loving, gentle woman, her foremost passion was her family. Being with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren gave her utmost joy. Her devotion to her husband Ruel was unfailing and when he passed away, her broken heart never healed. She was a wonderful cook; everyone loved her delicious pies and doughnuts! A true lady to the end, she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.Gail was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Manfred, Russell and Norman Frannea and her husband Ruel. She is survived by brothers Axel and Myron Frannea, dear sister Velzora Stark; her sons Dennis (Linda), Bruce (Kory), Vern (Judy) Pederson and daughter Karen (Jack) Pelander, grandchildren Debbie and Kari Pederson; Kim (Howard) Carroll, Bryan (Lisa), Darren (Katie) and Teresa Pederson; Shane (Vicki), Shannon, Shawn and Shyenne Feist; Kai and Eli Pucci, Meadow (Peter) Nelson, Karl and Emily Pederson; Toni (Steve) DePoister, Dee Dee (Dennis) Irby, Autumn and Ryan Holmes; seventeen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.The family would like to thank Visiting Angels and especially the "angels" Merrily and Amy for their loving care of Mom.A viewing for Gail will be on Sunday, June 10, from 1:00-9:00 PM at Mt. View Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 11, at 2:00 PM at All Saints Episcopal Church; 205 East 96th ST, Tacoma. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to All Saints Episcopal Church.
