Gail I. Bauer's Obituary
Gail Idella Bauer was born on June 14, 1929 in Wilmar, Minnesota to Chester Hedman and Ester Stanghelle. In 1953, Gail moved to Omak, Washington for a period of time. In 1958, she moved to Tacoma, Washington and officially made Tacoma her home. Gail worked as a para educator in the Tacoma School District for 30 years up until her retirement in 1993. She was a proud homeowner in Tacoma, she loved her gladiolus and flowers, and she hosted many friends and family for holiday celebrations. Gail loved watching games at Cheney Stadium with friend George Buckner. For years she attended Bethesda Baptist Church and was active in the children’s bus ministry.
Gail is survived by her children Dennis Hedman, Steve Hedman (Alice), Marilyn Rector (Martin), Larry Hedman (Connie), Susan Tinney Hedman (Richard), Kenneth Bauer (Tanette), and Margarite Johnson. In addition to her children, she is survived by 21 grandchildren, and 24 greatgrandchildren. Gail will be missed and loved by countless family, friends, and acquaintances.
