Frieda June Swindler Born 1936. Passed away in Tacoma, Washington January 23, 2018. Frieda June Swindler was born in, Medford, Oregon, June 5th, 1936 to Albert William and Luella Gertrude Ervin. She married James E. Swindler in 1959. Frieda is preceded in death by her son, David B. Swindler and her husband, James E. Swindler. She is survived by her children; Kerry L. Vosler (James), Kimberly C. Fitzpatrick (Dan), Timothy A. Swindler (Edith) and Steven J. Swindler (Tammy). Frieda has nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Frieda attended Highline High School in Seattle, Washington and was a Seafair Princess. She worked 24 years at the Bon Marche China Department. She belonged to the Rose Society, was a Master Gardener and volunteered at the Salvation Army, WSU Extension, PBS, Fairgrounds, and the Fred Oldfield Western Heritage Center. Frieda was a painter of portraits and landscapes mastering the mediums of oil, watercolor and sumi-e brush painting. She studied with Fred Oldfield who said, "Frieda has a natural talent for art." Frieda was a member of Summit Christian Fellowship in Tacoma, Washington. She passed peacefully on January 23, 2018 in Tacoma with family at her bedside. Services for Frieda will be held on Saturday, January 27th, 2018 at Summit Christian Fellowship, 3714, 84th St E, Tacoma, Washington 98446. Time: 2:00 PM.
