I knew Lee through Dave, of course. I spent a lot of time at the Henricksen houses in the 50's and 60s. Lee was always fun to be around. I got to know him more at the Texaco station, since I'd spend time there when Dave was working; he was all business, but always light-hearted. Grandpa Lee was truly at peace when he passed away. I am eternally humbled for having been there and to support the family in some small way. It was clearly family, faith and friends that gave Grandpa the spirit to be a part of our lives for so long. Many memories are coming to us as we learn of Lee's passing. We have known Lee and Evon and their family for 50 years ever since John went to work for Lee at the service station in 1962. Our familes became entwined as their daughters babysat for us and we enjoyed many parties and celebrations with their family over the years. Evon and Family. Our hearts were saddened when we heard of Lee's passing. It was his time and the angels came and ushered him into his "Mansion" already prepared.
