What an honor it is to have known Fred, and to know all of you. Our hearts go out to you, and our prayers our with you. God tells us that we will endure struggles and loss in our lifetime, but He also promises us that He will comfort us, give us strength and be with us always during these times.
I cannot pretend to know what it's like to lose a parent, or the person I've been married to for 50 years. I do know however what it's like to lose a friend. And that's what Fred is to me "a friend." And through him, I have been blessed with knowing all of you. What a friendly, kind, gentle man Fred was. He was the first person we met when we moved into this neighborhood. After he moved around the block, I really missed the times we use to hang out outside and talk about everything and nothing. We use to see each other in passing in the winter months, and yell at each other, "I can't wait for summer!"
Fred and Donna, you should both be very proud as your character and integrity is evident in the lives of your children.
