Frederick C. Hughes' Obituary
Frederick C. Hughes died at home on Sept. 28, 2009. He was born July 27, 1921 to Charles Hughes and Mabel Thompson in Omaha, NE. He came to Kelso, WA at the age of 2, and later moved to Tacoma at the age of 4. He spent the rest of his life living in Tacoma. He graduated from Lincoln High School. He served in the Army Air Force from 1942 to 1946. He owned several car lots. He worked at Bremerton Ship Yards as a Ship Fitter and retired from there. He was preceded in death by his son Chuck. He is survived by his sister Rose Arvin, his grandson Fred Hughes, and his niece and her family. He was laid to rest at the National Cemetery in Kent, WA.
