I've known Fred and Ann Burns for 44 years. It was at this time long ago that we moved into the neighborhood, I being pregnant with my daughter,Teri. Fred was always the friendliest neighbor in the block. Whenever he saw anything 'amiss' at our house he was always coming over to see what he could do to help. For all these years, Fred's house was always yellow. I waited thru the years for him to change the color because I'd always wanted to paint mine yellow too. Finally last spring I said, "Fred, I'm not waiting any more. I'm going to paint my house yellow. Would you mind?" and he laughed and said, "Of course not. Go for it!!" and so I did. Fred could always be seen walking his dog which I thought was a great way for him to exercise. In the spring and summer, he would be seen working hard in his yard which always looked neat and tidy. He was a known and loved fixture in our little community of "Firlane Valley' and he will be greatly missed. It was and honor to know you , Fred. Nancy Klinger and family
