I've known Fred and Ann Burns for 44 years. It was at this time long ago that we moved into the neighborhood, I being pregnant with my daughter,Teri. Fred was always the friendliest neighbor in the block. Whenever he saw anything 'amiss' at our house he was always coming over to see what he could do to help. For all these years, Fred's house was always yellow. I waited thru the years for him to change the color because I'd always wanted to paint mine yellow too. Finally last spring I said, "Fred, I'm not waiting any more. I'm going to paint my house yellow. Would you mind?" and he laughed and said, "Of course not. Go for it!!" and so I did. Fred could always be seen walking his dog which I thought was a great way for him to exercise. In the spring and summer, he would be seen working hard in his yard which always looked neat and tidy. I was honored and lucky to have this fabulous man as my father-in-law for 7 years. He was such a kind and loving man. Fred was the best husband and father a family could ever want and he was so proud of them. He loved his family dearly and always took special care of them.
He adored his grand children and great grand children and was always so proud of them and enjoyed every minute he had with them.
He was always so eager to help anyone in need.
Fred I just want to thank you for all the love and support you gave to my daughters and grand children, you are one in a million and will be greatly missed by us all.
It will be hard to fill your shoes, but as family we will do our best to fill your shoes and take care of your loving wife Ann.

I am going to truly miss this man! Our neighborhood won't be the same. I'll miss visiting with him at our fence-line and talking about a variety of things in his life and ours. I'll miss sharing life with him and as I do things in the yard the past week think about sharing with him but sad I can't. We love Fred and will miss him so very much.
Our condolences to his wife - whom we hope to still visit with as well, his family and friends!
