Fred Ripley's Obituary
Fred O. Ripley Was born February 18, 1948. He died December 18, 2008 after a brave fight with esophageal cancer. Fred is survived by his wife Mary, children Paul (Jenny) Appel, Paul (Sarah) Ripley, Kristin (Lonnie) Bolles, James (Afton) Ripley, Brian (Jill) Ripley, and Mary Ripley. He is also survived by his parents, Paul and Eleanor Ripley, sister Pam (Jerry) Cavnee, and brother Jerry Neil (Laurie) Ripley. He is survived by his most loved grandchildren, Nicole Swanson, Cody and Zac Ripley, Emily and Paul Nicholas Jr. Ripley, Connor and Anna Ripley, Michael and Annika Appel, and Jacob Bolles. Fred was employed for 30 years with the Tacoma School District. He was Chief Custodian at Fern Hill, Geiger, Birney, and McIlvaigh Middle School. Upon retirement, he embarked on a new career that brought him tremendous pleasure as a delivery person at Blitz Florist. He loved being a part of that wonderful, creative group of folks. A memorial service will be held at Pilgrim Lutheran Church on Tuesday, December 23rd, 2008 at 2:30PM. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Cancer Society.
