Frank Wayne Graffis' Obituary
Frank Graffis was born in Laurel, NE on January 11, 1915, to Frank and Lula (Oaks) Graffis. He had two sisters and five brothers, all of who preceded him in death. He was raied on the family farm and attended Laurel High School. He married Tilly Frink, who was also a farm girl from Carrol NE. They have three children, a son Jerry, daughters Judy and Peggy. He moved his family back and forth from Nebraska to California and back again. In 1956 he moved his family to Puyallup,, WA where he finally settle donwn and lived the rest of his life. During his working years he was a man of all trades, he was a farmer, a salesman, a riveter in the shipyards during the war, a heavy equipment operator, a steel worker. After being injured working for steel companies, he went into the second hand busines and also went to auctioneer school and became an auctioneer. He worked for South Kings furniture in Auburn, where they had auctions every week. Then he opened his own second hand stores in Puyallup called "Franks Second Hand" where Mom and Dad operated the stores for many years. He also had an auction barn in Orting with auctions every Sunday afternoon, he also did estate auctions. When he tired from that business, they started a janitorial business. Mom passed away in March of 2002 just before their 65th wedding anniversary and he went to be with her on March 6, 2009.
He is survived by his son Jerry (Pat), daughters Judy Skinner, Peggy (David) Duncan, nine grandchildren; Bill, Darrin, Cheryl, David, Crista, Zed, Raymond, Angela and Aaron. Twenty three great-grand children: Natalie, Sarah, Nathan, Ashley, Shantell, Maya, Tyler, Breanna, Dylan, Jacob, Zeke, Madison, Wyatt, Raymond Jr, Kayla, Logan, Cassidy, Kaitlynn, Jacob, Hailey, Matthew, Justin, Timothy Three great-great-grandchildren: Jasiah, Raedin and Kaylie.
Our Dad was the greatest, he had a great sense of humor, he was always there for us to lend a helping hand or give us some advice, we will miss him.
