Frank B Rossiter Jr.'s Obituary
Frank B. Rossiter, Jr.
Frank Rossiter lived a full and happy life until it was tragically taken from him on June 6. He was 55 years old. Born in Tacoma, WA, raised in Fircrest, he attended Foss High School for grades 10 - 12, the first graduating class (1976). He played football at Foss and in his senior year helped them to win the State Championship, a special recognition he liked to relive often with fellow Foss Falcons.
After a year at Central Washington University, he went to Alaska to work in the fishing industry - as fishing was his life-long passion. Soon after his return to Tacoma he began his career as a process server and started Tacoma-Pierce County Process Service. He was dedicated to providing the legal community throughout the greater Tacoma area with excellent service - often accomplishing the "impossible" with a smile and always bringing back plenty of entertaining stories.
He lived in the north end of Tacoma in close proximity to great fishing (via his boat moored at Pt. Defiance) and his favorite fish market on Ruston Way. He loved everything/anything about fish - he enjoyed cooking, smoking, grilling and sharing it with his friends & family almost as much as catching it. And every Christmas - for 20+ years - he made salmon balls from his own "secret" recipe for clients, friends, friends of friends, and of course his family. Frank will be remembered for years to come for this seasonal treat that he gave to so many.
Frank Jr. was a devoted father. His son Tristan (13 yrs) was his pride and joy. They were both very involved with Emanuel Lutheran Church over the years. The two would stop in to visit the residents of the Tacoma Lutheran Home regularly, usually with sweet treats or flowers from his yard to share. He loved to bring joy to the elderly and we know his visits will be missed. Frank was currently serving as Chairman of the Board of Elders and served his church in many other ways throughout the years.
Frank is survived by his son Tristan Rossiter, his parents, Frank Sr. and Trudy Rossiter, sisters Deborah Schulte (Seattle), Judy Rossiter (Santa Barbara), niece Allison Schulte Connelly, nephews Peter Schulte, Thomas Patterson, Greg Patterson, and his new great-nephew Reed Connelly (6 wks). We cannot imagine going forward in life without Frank Jr. This gentle, loving, caring and giving father, son, brother, uncle will deeply missed but will live forever in our hearts.
[There will be a memorial service - open to the public - on Wed., June 12 at 2:00 pm at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 1315 N. Stevens, Tacoma, WA]
