Mr. Heard was a wonderful person and a kind human being. My husband and I got to know him as a member of the Kiwanis Club of Greater Tacoma. He was supportive and an active member until he could no longer do so. We loved him and will miss him. Our deepest condolences to the family. Your father was a great man. I worked with Frank during our Peoples Bank years. He was an awesome mentor and just a really kind man. Always calm and patient in an all female environment most times. Looking back now I wonder how he did it. So it is with a heavy heart that I thank him for putting up with me for all of those years and for being the nicest man I've ever known. I wish I had kept in touch and told him what he meant to me while he was alive. Another important life lesson learned via Frank.
Rest in Peace Frank, you earned it!

I will always remember what a great sense of humor Frank had. I first met Frank when he was the manager at Peoples Bank on 6th Ave. He made it a point to come to the Highland Hills branch of SeaFirst Bank when I became manager there in 1981. He welcomed me to the community and we became good friends. I regret I did not stay in touch with him when he retired. Here is an example of his wonderful humor... I visited his branch one day and when he was talking to someone else I took his business cards out of the holder on his desk and put some of my cards in it. I knew I would hear from him, and of course the next day he called me, and with that laugh of his, told me how a customer dropped by to meet with him and when he took a business card, asked Frank "Who is this guy from SeaFirst Bank, is he taking over your job as manager?" Of course he returned the favor later on when he visited me again at my branch. We always had a good time and patiently he taught me how to play racquet ball. I never could win a game with him.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the family during this difficult time. Unfortunately I will be out of town and miss being at Frank's memorial service.
I never knew Mr. Heard, but I would see him while he visited his wife's grave. I was visiting my wife's grave just after she died in September 2016. Mr Heard saw me crying at my wife grave one day shortly after her death. He came over to me and comforted me as best he could. He was so understanding & I will always remember his kindness to me.
