Frank Arthur Harris' Obituary
"FLYING HOME" MSGT Frank A.Harris USAF Retired Frank passed on Feb 8th peacefully in his home in Lacey at 78 years old. He was born in New York, NY on May 11, 1930. He graduated from Gorton High School, RI and attended Brown University In Providence, RI He joined the Air Force in 1947, attended Aircraft Mechanics School and later became a flight engineer on C124's. He was known as a highly skilled engineer and instructed at Altus AFB Training Center many years. He served during the Korean War and Japan. Other assignments included Larson AFB, WA, Brookley AL, Hickam HI. He was in the 62d TC AW Assn., Air Force Assn., Air Force Sergents Assn., VFW Post 969, Amvets Post 1, DAV, Evergreen State #11, FOE 2308. He retired at Altus AFB, OK in 1974. Frank is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie, and daughter Barbara Smith, an extended family and many friends, especially the retirees who were his second family at the McChord club. He loved to talk shop, airplanes, electronics, music and the good old days. He will be missed! Viewing will be Feb 14 from 1200-2100 at Mt View Funeral Home, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd in Lakewood. A service will be Feb 15 at 1300 at Mt View at the Valley Chapel. A reception will follow at the Amvets #1, 5717 S Tyler in Tacoma. MAX POWER FRANK
