Frank A. Christoph, Sr.Born in Tacoma, Washington on September 30, 1929, Frank passed away peacefully at home on July 3, 2003 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his father Lawrence Christoph (1937); mother Mary (Christoph) Curtice (1999) and brother Daniel (1945). He was a 1947 graduate of Fife High School and still attended annual class reunions.Frank, a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Coast Guard, retired in 1975 after 28 years of service. He later received a Bachelor of Science Degree in accounting from Bryant College of Rhode Island in 1985. Frank was a talented guitarist and singer and active member of District 8 Old Time Fiddlers, and the Cedar River Country Band. He loved jamming and performing with his many friends. He was also a member of the Masons, Elks, and Eagles.He will be sadly missed by his son Frank A. Christoph, Jr., daughter Debra C. Hershey and son-in-law Dave Hershey, grandchildren Rebecca C. Kaplan, David Hershey Jr., Colleen Christoph, Frank A. Christoph III, and beloved significant other Lynn Wehmeyer.Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2003 from 6-8pm at Mt. View Funeral Home. A Celebration of FrankÂ's Life will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2003 at 10am in the Mt. View Valley Chapel with a motorcycle procession to Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent for Military Honors by the United States Coast Guard and burial.
