To our families and friends,
On behalf of our parents, siblings, and his son Dennis, it is with deep sorrow that I announce the passing of our beloved brother, Francis Jr. William Scott Ah Fook (August 03 1987- August 07 2024). Jr touched the lives of many with his kindness, strength, and unwavering love for his son and our family.
Jr was born with a heart condition, which he endured for 37 years and 4 days. His journey over the past 10 years hasn’t been easy, but thanks to modern medicine and technology, he was given a chance to make the best of his life.
Jr was raised alongside seven brothers and two sisters. As the second eldest, he didn’t take his role lightly and became the family comedian. For his nieces and nephews, he will always be remembered as Uncle Buda. We will always remember him through laughter. He was a man of few words and strongly disliked long meetings, but whenever he had the chance, he would say something funny—even during serious family discussions. Our laughter was his fuel to live.
As I write this, let us not be saddened by this news but instead celebrate all the good moments we shared with Jr, whether directly or indirectly.
I’d like to highlight a couple of Jr’s favorite things:
• He was the most loyal Seahawks fan in the history of football and loathed the Steelers (my team) ever since Super Bowl XL.
• He loved fishing, whether at the salmon run in the river bend or crab fishing at the Les Davis Pier.
Jr will be deeply missed but forever remembered in our hearts and souls.
Ma le ava lava, fa’afetai.
