Frances Marie Hennessy's Obituary
Frances Hennessy age 86 passed away March 19, 2021. Frances is survived by Daughters, Darlene Hennessy, Frances (Tom) Hall, Barbara Lourdes and grandchildren Justin Hall, Cassandra Hall, and her brother William (Beverly) Friend along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Frances is preceded in death by husband of 59 years Charles Patrick Hennessy, Infant son Charles Patrick Hennessy Jr, her parents Frank and Florence, sister Lucille, and brothers Bert and Dale.
Frances was born in Tacoma, Washington. Her family moved to Milton, WA in 1944 where she attended Milton Elementary School and was a lifelong member of the Milton United Methodist Church. Frances married Charles Patrick Hennessy August 27, 1952 at the age 18. She was a Campfire Leader, PTA, taught Sunday School, Bible School and lent a hand at taking care of many children, nieces, nephews, her aging mother, brother in-law- anyone that needed help for any reason.
In 1969 the Hennessy family moved out to Parkland to take care of Charles’s father (William) but passed away soon after. Frances’s highlight was taking care and loving her grandchildren. One of their favorite memories of their grandmother is teaching them to cook and bake.
Frances loved with all her heart and you knew she was always there for you. She also had a fire in her and if you made her angry, she had no problem setting you straight.
That fire in her is what kept her with us for the last several years. Despite losing Charles in 2011 she was determined she had too much to live for not to try. That determination went on to surprise her doctors, nurses and family when medical tests said she had very little time left.
Due to Covid, celebration of life will be scheduled for later this summer.
Please honor the life and memory of Frances by leaving cherished memories, messages, and photos for her family on the tribute wall.
We encourage friends and families to check back for service updates.
