Frances Ollie Faulk's Obituary
Frances Ollie Faulk
Frances was born, Frances Ollie Huckaba, on May 17th, 1919 in Tacoma WA, and passed away December 31st, at the age of 94 in Lakewood WA.
Frances was a long time resident of Tacoma. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1937. Frances married her high school sweetheart, Lesley (Les) F. Faulk on November 8, 1941. They had one son, James L. born May 17th, 1951. The family loved baseball. Les played minor league baseball in Tacoma. In 1961 the family moved to Medford Oregon where Frances worked for an attorney with the Oregon Health Department. The family returned to Tacoma in 1968. Frances then worked for DSHS until her retirement in 1981. She remained close to her co-workers and was thrilled when they visited.
Frances loved her home, many crafts and her little dog Sugar. Frances and sugar were well known in the neighborhood. Neighbors stopping by to visit, were greeted with a warm smile and listening ear. She considered her neighbors family. She was dearly loved for her laughter and good humor. Frances kept up with sports and enjoyed talking with her nephews, Bob and Bill Faulk about the Mariners and the Seahawks. She will be missed very much by her nephews, nieces, extended family and friends. It was always a privilege to spend time with Frances.
A special thank you to Cory and Jackie Wells for their wonderful care at Paradise View Adult Home Care in Lakewood, where Frances had been living since last February. Frances was preceded in death by her loving husband Les, and son James. Frances will be laid to rest next to her husband and son at Mountain View Cemetery in Tacoma.
At her request, there will not be a funeral service.
