Frances Coade's Obituary
Frances Coade Was born March 25, 1923 to August and Emma Boeka in MIlford, Nebraska. She attended several rural schools and graduated from Lincoln High School in Lincoln, Nebraska. Upon graduation she moved to California and secured a secretarial job.
A short time later,it was at an U.S.O. dance that she met Bill Coade. He was attending a pilot training school nearby and it didn't take him long to realize that Fran was the girl for him. They were married in December, 1943. When his military service was over and he returned to civilian life, they retired to what Bill called, "God's Country", Tacoma, Washington. They spent time at the Tacoma Country Club, playing golf and bridge with friends. Traveling was also on their agenda. Sometime after Bill's death in 2004, Fran moved to Narrows Glen. Upon arriving there, she met the second man in her life, Francis 'Hap' Layher. Sharing adventures and great times continued until her death. Fran's sense of humor and sunny disposition will be missed by all who knew her.
Preceding in death was her parents, husband, three brothers, and four sisters. Survived by sister Jacquie Geistlinger of Citrus Heights, Ca., many nieces, nephews, godchildren, and friends. Two dear friends, Kay and Vivian.
No services, according to Fran's wishes. Memorials may be made to donors choice.
