Florine Goodlow's Obituary
Florine Goodlow was born in Camden Arkansas December 21 1938 to Willie E Elliott and Rosa O Elliott.
Florine moved to Washington State in the 1950s where she met and married her beloved husband Earl Goodlow Jr of 59 years.
Florine was a stay home wife and mother. She started a home day care for children and infants. Florine loved taking care of children and loved them as her own. She continued her day care business up until 1984. In 1984 Florine became a longtime employee at Tacoma General Hospital Linen Services until the time of her retirement.
Florine was a longtime devoted member at Shiloh Baptist Church in Tacoma WA.
Anyone who knew Florine, knew of her joy of singing in the choir. Especially singing “Give me my flowers while I yet live”. Florine was known for always being sharp when it came down to her style of fashions. From her hats to her shoes.
Florine also had a beautiful vision of home decorating. When you stepped into her home, you would see her beautiful crystal décor.
With her beautiful smile, her kindness and love for others you couldn’t help but love her and want to be in her presence. She had a heart of gold.
Florine is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years Earl Goodlow Jr. her mother Rosa O Elliott, her father Willie E Elliott, five brothers Willie J Elliott, John D Elliott, Richard Elliott, Emory Elliott and Fay Elliott.
Florine is survived by her daughter Florita (Willard) Mitchell, son Tracy (Lori) Goodlow, son Kenneth Goodlow, daughter Dannetta Goodlow and son Gary Goodlow sr. Godson Daniel Stanford. Three sisters Vera Browning, her twin sister Lorene Fields and her sister Brenda Elliott. Two brothers Rolando Elliott and Donald Ray Elliott. 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews
Florine Goodlow will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
