Florence Sabado's Obituary
Our loving mother Florence Evite Sabado would have been 93 years old on November 10, 2017. She was born in Samarr Islandin the Philippines on November 10, 1924, where she met our father, Sgt Ariston A. Sabado. They were married on October 27, 1946. After a few years, our Father and family were transferred to the U.S., California. Florence became a U.S. citizen shortly after that. She worked in the laundry department on Fort Lewis Base. After a few years she became supervisor and worked for 26 years. She retired after that. Florence loved being charter member of the First Filipino League Club in Lakewood, which our father was one of the founding members. Her favorite activities were performing Filipino dances, and she was an avid bowler as well. Florence loved worshipping God and teaching Sunday School. Florence is survived by her three sons Erlando, Leo and Roy and her daughter Rachel Sabado Griffus. She is survived by her three grandsons Sean Sabado, Nathan Sabado Smith and Kyle Sabado Griffus, and her granddaughter Eliana Dooley. Florence has seven great-grandchildren; Derek Sabado, Anessa James, Mateo and Jaelin Smith, Kaylani Elaine Griffus, Ciara Sabado Griffus and Bentley Sabado Griffus. Following the funeral service, you are all invited to celebrate Florences life with the family at Old Country Buffet in Lakewood.
