What can I add to what my brother and sister-in-law have said. lorence was probably our mother's dearest friend and I am so pleased that they are together again with all of their old comrads from Central Baptist. Hey! You two have a ball in the Lord's presence and hope to see you again when I get there. If I remember correctly Florence and Mom took a long bus trip to the northeast to view the Autumn colours. Do remember my brother telling about that trip to Alaska and how Mom and Florence had to keep adding oil to the auto he loaned them. Although my wife and I gave up sending Christmas cards years ago Florence never forgot. We will tresure these notes from her through the past several years and the times we spent together with her when we went out to dinner together. She always sparkled with the love of Jesus. Lastly, thank you to all of her children, grandchildren and so forth for sharing her with us. Although you didn't know it she was a genuine treasure to us all. Marilyn and I will deeply miss her.

Oh my, I'm so sad to hear the news. Florence was one of my Grandma, Mary Lowe's dearest friends. My grandma passed about 30 years ago. So wonderful to know she lived a full life! I'm sure Mary and Florence are so pleased to be together again! Sending love to her friends and family.

I met Florence in 1980 when I married my husband who then took me to his hometown, Tacoma, WA to meet his family. Florence was one of the people I met. She and Mary, Bill's mom, were dear friends and did lots of girlfriend activities together. She was so welcoming and friendly that I felt I had already known her my whole life. She became an instant friend. I will always remember her laughter and sense of joy. Bill and I invited her and his mom to come visit us in Alaska and sure enough a year later the two girls came. We gave them our little Ford Pinto and off they went sightseeing. What a trip they had and the stories they told. Bill and I exchanged Christmas cards with Florence for about 30 years and we tried to see her each time we were in Tacoma. These last three years was a delight to pick her up and go to lunch. I have always admired her rock solid faith in our Lord Jesus Christ and her true love for others. I will miss her very much but I rejoice knowing she is in the presence of our Lord and with those who have gone before her. I am thankful Florence was part of my life.

As a child I attended Central Baptist Church in Tacoma. Florence was a member and a wonderful friend to my mother Mary Lowe, and as the greatest of friends they did many things together including coming to Alaska to visit my wife and myself and see the state by an enjoyable road trip. I always remember the stories they continued to tell about that trip.

As an adult, when I came to Washington State to visit relatives, my wife and I made it a point to visit Florence at her apartment in Tacoma. She was always a joyful and cheerful part of our visit. She would reminisce of great times with my mother and tell of the things they did together. It always brought back fond memories of times gone by.

Florence will be greatly missed by my wife and myself. She was like part of our family.

I lived and respected Aunt Florence, so much. As a child I didn't appreciate what a hard worker she was. Being a Mother of three plus a RN, is no easy task. I admired her strength to go out after Uncle Gordon passed away at what I realize now was such a young age. Her faith in God was always present in the years we communicated by phone and yearly Christmas cards. I was so honored that she came to the family reception that Karen had for me 1 1/2 years ago on my last visit home. Thank you "Susie" for bringing her. She always amazed me how clear her mind was, when we would talk on the phone. I'm sure she is at rest now with the Lord ! If I wasn't so far away I would definitely come to honor her. Love to you All......
