Florence (Bragdon) McMichael
Florence (Bragdon) McMichael passed away on July 10, 2012 at age 105 years. She was a resident at Sunny Acres Villas in Denver, CO for the past nine years. Florence was born on June 19, 1907 in Tacoma, WA and was the only child of parents James and Lillian Ashworth. She was a 1924 graduate of Lincoln High School in Tacoma.
Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Bragdon, Sr., her husband Eric McMichael, and her son, Walter Bragdon, Jr. She leaves her daughter, Marjorie (Bragdon) Satterfield of Denver, CO. Florence had six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
The 96 years that Florence lived in Tacoma were memorable with the many organizations that she belonged to, as well as her work as a retail clerk. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Warren/Tyler Chapter. Florence enjoyed being a world-wide traveler over the years, often visiting Europe and other countries abroad.
A memorial service will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home at 2:00 on July 18, 2012, with viewing at 1:00, and burial at Mountain View Cemetery. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Alzheimer's Association or another charity of choice is suggested.
