Florence McCamant's Obituary
Florence McCamant Florence McCamant passed away very peacefully at the age of 100 on January 22, 2008 in Tacoma, WA. She was born in Redfield, South Dakota on September 11, 1907. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother to 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Marcia Corns, and Sheila Hobbs, both of Tacoma, and preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence (1977), and sister, Charlotte (1976). Florence loved to play cards, enjoyed traveling and gardening, and bowled until she was 90. She spent the last 97 of her 100 years living in Tacoma and was involved in the Jefferson Garden Club, Mason Methodist Church, and Women of Rotary. Her greatest joy, however, came from spending time with her family. Right to the end she was the matriarch of our family, giving guidance and perspective to all who held her in such high regard. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
