Florence I. Hansen's Obituary
Florence Ida Sarah (Stang) Hansen
Florence was born on March 7, 1922 to Joseph Stang and Irene Thrall. She passed away peacefully in her sleep and went Home to be with her Lord on April 14, 2016. She was a graduate of Stadium High School, class of '40, and a lifelong Tacoma resident. Florence worked in payroll for North Pacific Plywood, and when that closed, for Wheeler Osgood Plywood. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Reidar (Ray), and sister Helen Gash. Survivors include a step-daughter, several cousins, and many friends who will miss her and her cute sense of humor which remained with her to her very last breath. She loved the Mariners and often chatted with friends about each game.
Florence was a life time member of Life Center Church where, if desired, donations may be made in her memory.
Special thanks to Tacoma Lutheran Nursing Home for all their loving care. They were wonderful, and yet she desired to move to a Family Home, and did just that, passing away at River Rock Adult Family Home. She was so happy in that loving, bright, cheerful environment.
Per her request, there will be no memorial service.
