Florence Aguillon's Obituary
Florence Aguillon, age 67, of Tacoma, died on October 7, 2009 at home, surrounded by family. Florence, an Alaskan Native, was born in Copper Center, Alaska, youngest of 12 children. She graduated from Federal Way High School in 1960 and met the love of her life, George, in 1965. He proposed, and that Saturday in 1970 they were married by a judge in Hawaii where George was stationed. Florence worked in health care so she could help others. Her passion was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. All who knew Florence loved her infectious laugh and spirit. Even as she was nearing the end of her life, she spread her cheer at Madigan Oncology. Florence leaves her husband of 39 years, George, sons Roland Aguillon and his wife Christine, Kyle Perkins and his wife Tina; step-daughters Roxsan Jandebeur (Michael), Gloria Cline (Andrew); step-sons Robin Aguillon and Roman Aguillon; brothers Raymond Carroll (Connie) and David Carroll (Faye); sister Roberta Losch (Henry); twenty-one grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Florence was preceded in death by son Kevin Aguillon and step-daughter Dori Gordon. Memorial donations may be made to Franciscan Hospice, Fred Hutchinson American Cancer Society , Fort Lewis Fisher House, or Madigan Hospital Cancer Department. Family is accepting donations to assist with funeral expenses. A celebration of Florence's life will be held October 17, 2009 at 2 pm, in the Mountain View Valley Chapel, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd SW, Lakewood. A reception will follow at Highland Hill Rec. Hall, 6110 N 15th St, Tacoma.
