Filipo Aunese's Obituary
Filipo Aunese, age 57, passed away suddenly and peacefully due to illness, on March 21, 2024 in Tacoma, Washington. Filipo was born April 29, 1966 in Samoa to Tuimaualuga Aunese Saina and Pelenatete Chang Kwan Aunese Saina. Filipo lived in Aua, American Samoa before he relocated with his family to Tacoma, WA in 2006.
Filipo worked mostly as a commercial fisherman in the Pacific Ocean. He had great passion for his parents, siblings, rugby, and muscle cars. Filipo loved and cared deeply for his two sons, Maximus, who preceded him in death, and Martinac. Filipo was very prideful, strong, and caring for his loved ones; always trying to provide for others.
He is survived by his son, Martinac Aunese and siblings, Toni Aunese (Togiaso), Malia Aunese Siaki (Aleki), Vaileti Aunese Luea (Luea), Maselino Aunese, Roger Aunese (Fina), and Aunese Tauinaola. His eldest sister, Valelia Aunese Toloa (Tavita) also preceded him in death. He also leaves behind many friends and family.
