Filemon F Dimatulac's Obituary
Filemon F. Dimatulac, 84, of Steilacoom passed away peacefully on January 5, 2014 after battling a long illness. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carnation, and two children: his daughter, Leilani, and his son, Lee.
Fil was born in Minalin, Pampanga, the Philippine Islands, in November 1929. He joined the U.S. Army in 1953 and traveled the world. After 24 years of service, Fil retired from the military to return to one of his favorite places - Tacoma, Washington. Fil spent his retirement years working in an Alaskan fishery, a Tacoma lumberyard, and his own home woodshop. His birdhouses and wishing wells enliven many local yards.
A beloved husband, devoted father, and generous friend, Fil will be missed by many.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Fil's name to the church.
