Ferne S. Ifland's Obituary
Ferne S. Ifland (Workman) Ferne died peacefully in her sleep July 29th at the age of 93. Born August 11, 1916 in Marysville, ID, she lived the majority of her life in Tacoma, WA. Over the years she enjoyed memberships in the Wurlitzer Organ Guild, Ladies Oriental Shrine, Red Hat Society, Garden Club, and the LDS Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Lee Ann Clark (husband Lee) of Roy and Kay Workman (husband Ty Johnson) of Tacoma; grandchildren Brent (wife Vicki), Joe, Jessica, Lindsay, Lane and Caje, great-granddaughter Ryann, sister Ilene McClellan, numerous nieces and nephews, and her "guard dog" Crash.
A special Thank-You to caregiver Stacey McNary and the Multicare Hospice team for their gentle care, and to Janet Manning for her endless support. Services will be held in the Mountain View Garden Chapel on Friday, August 6th, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with graveside services to follow. A reception will be held immediately after at Ferne's home, all are welcome.
