Feliciano Figuracion's Obituary
SFC Feliciano A. (Tony) Figuracion passed away at home on March 14, 2005. SAFE IN THE ARMS OF JESUS. Tony was born May 2, 1919 in Alcala, Pangasinan, Philippines. He survived Bataan, a Japanese POW camp, WWII, and the Korean War. While stationed at Fort Hanford, he met and married his wife of 45 years. After retiring from the US Army in 1961, Tony served his community as Maintenance Director at Vista View Nursing Home, Resthaven Nursing Home, and Orchard Park Nursing Home. During this time and up to 1994, he and his family cared for developmentally disabled foster children.Tony is survived by his wife Althea S.; sons CSM (ret.) Karangalan Â"AlanÂ" (Linda) of Olympia, Magtanggol Â"TangoÂ" (Macarena) of Homestead, FL, Ralph (Mary) of Tacoma, Grant of Tacoma, David (DÂ'Arcy) of Wauna, WA, Dale (Bobbie) of West Richland, Bumpaous, Robin of Tacoma; daughters Liuanag Â"LilyÂ" Gallardo of Lakewood, Ada (Patrick) Elliott of Tacoma; 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and many foster children. Dad will be laid to rest at Mountain View Memorial Park. All are invited to join us in celebrating his life. Viewing will be from 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Saturday, March 19th at Mt. View Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 21st in the Mt. View Garden Chapel. A gathering will be held at the home of Ralph and Mary Figuracion after the service.Â"Life shouldnÂ't be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly shouting  Wow, What a Ride!Â'Â"
