Felicia Maria Miller's Obituary
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Felicia Maria Miller, who left this world on July 16, 2024, in Puyallup, Washington. Born on January 27, 1966, in St. Louis, Missouri, Felicia’s life was a tapestry woven with love, resilience, and an indomitable spirit.
Felicia was the beloved daughter of Franchelle Turner and LeRoy Coleman. She was preceded in death by her sister, Sarah Louise Miller, brother, Henry Dewayne Miller, her cherished mother and father, her dear daughter, Michelle Johnson, and her loving husband, Samuel Peterson, with whom she shared over 15 wonderful years of marriage in Washington State.
Felicia leaves behind a legacy filled with warmth and laughter. She is survived by her children: Dezer-Rae Magee, Dontez Johnson, Marcus Johnson, Cristle Johnson, Samantha Peterson, and Tiyranique Miller. Her memory will also be cherished by her many siblings, grandchildren, and a multitude of extended family and friends who had the privilege of knowing her.
Felicia’s journey was one of remarkable achievements and enduring love. She graduated from Foss High School and pursued higher education, earning her Associate of Arts in Business Management from
Stevens-Henager College Online. Her career saw her serving the community as a bus driver for the Tacoma Public School District and as a cashier at Walmart until she was diagnosed with cancer in 2008.
Known for her vivacious personality and caring heart, Felicia was the very definition of being “Funny, Outgoing, Beautiful, Loving, and Caring.” She loved every moment of being Felicia and made sure that everyone around her knew it. Her hobbies and interests were as diverse as they were delightful; she found joy in crocheting, completing puzzles, playing cards, spending quality time with family, playing computer games, traveling, and going crabbing.
Felicia’s life was a testament to the power of love and the importance of family. Her infectious laughter, her warm hugs, and her undying love for those she held dear will forever be remembered and cherished.
In this time of sorrow, we extend our deepest gratitude to all the friends and family who reached out during this most difficult time to express their heartfelt condolences.
Felicia Maria Miller, we thank you for the love and light you brought into our lives. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
