Faye Finley, born on June 7, 1945, in the small town of McRoberts, Kentucky, to loving parents Claude and Marie Holmes, passed away on October 16, 2024. As the third of five children, Faye’s early years were filled with the joy and camaraderie of a bustling household.
Faye's journey took her to Chicago Heights, Illinois, where she became a cherished member of the First Apostolic Church community. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and inspiring those around her.
A devoted partner, mother, and grandmother, Faye’s family was her world. She created a home that was a sanctuary of love, warmth, and generosity. Her kindness knew no bounds, and her generous spirit touched the lives of many. She will be remembered for her gentle heart, her nurturing nature, and the countless memories she created with those she held dear.
Faye Finley leaves behind a family who adored her and a community that will forever cherish her memory. Her life was a testament to the power of love and the importance of family, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter, Deanna Finley, and son, James Finley; partner, David Jackson; brother, Denver Holmes, and sisters, Frances Anderson and Brenda Hall.
