Fay E. Roberts' Obituary
Fay was born December 4, 1909 in Memphis, Texas (NOT Tennessee, as she was quick to point out) and departed us due to natural causes on June 23, 2006 in Kirkland, Washington. She was preceded in death, in February 2000, by her beloved husband, Burl B. Roberts.Fay was a tireless homemaker with a quick wit and endless devotion to her family. She was a marvelous gardener and enjoyed golf, travel and socializing with friends. She was admired by all for her strong, traditional value system and strength of character. Family and friends could always rely on her for loving support and understanding.She is survived by her children, Maxine Hamper, Shirley Roberts and Terry Roberts; brother J. H.Wilkins; grandchildren Brock Hamper, Sheldon Hamper, Shellie Carroll, Lisa Burke, Carol Ann Brown; great-grandchildren Alex Hamper, Neil Hamper, Maddison Carroll, Maria Hamper and Josh Hamper; great-great-granddaughter Emma Fay Hamper; and step-grandchildren Joe Sprole, Jessica Sprole and Justin Sprole.Services will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, June 29, 2006 in the Mountain View Garden Chapel in Tacoma, WA.
