Fannie Lee Turner's Obituary
Fannie was born April 29, 1911 and passed away on July 31, 2005. She was born in Texas, and educated in Texas High School and College. She was an English teacher and Cosmetologist. She owned a cosmetology school in Oklahoma. She taught in Rosebud, TX, Germany, Japan, Clover Park and Woodbrook. She retired after 35 years of teaching. She was a loving, caring mother and always had a positive attitude. She enjoyed traveling, singing, playing the piano, dancing and reading. She belonged to the Board of Ministries Organization, TeacherÂ's Association, WidowerÂ's Club, Good Sam Travel Club, and the NAACP. Fannie was active in the Bethlehem Baptist Church for over 30 years. She was a fashion dresser and lived life to the fullest.She leaves to mourn: daughters Norma Roberson (Lawrence), Joyce Shoals (Bobby); grandchildren Sharlene Harbison (Timothy), Angelina Johnson, Delarrance Manuel, Antionette Jackson (Oliver); great-grandchildren Nigel Harbison, Jamila, Kamara, and Olivia Jackson. She also leaves cousins Floyd and Faye Richardson, Bonnie and Richard Gill.Thanks to Dr. Thomas Michael and staff at Madigan Army Medical Center for the wonderful care. Thanks to the University Place Center Nursing Home staff, especially Tiffany Todd.Viewing will be held 12:00 Â- 9:00 PM, Thursday, Aug 4, 2005, at Mountain View Funeral Home. Services will be at 12:00 PM, Friday, Aug 5, 2005, at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 4818 Portland Ave, Tacoma.
