Faimata Aiolupotea Sr.'s Obituary
Faimata Aiolupotea Sr., 72, born on February 22, 1945 has been called home to be with the Lord on October 3rd, 2017.
He was born and raised in Falelima, Savaii, Samoa to Tanuvasa Lopeti Aiolupotea Sr. and Tuaoloa Ali'imalemanu. At an early age, his mom passed away and his dad remarried Suitupe Mauai who then raised him.
He graduated from Mapusaga in American Samoa in 1969 and served an LDS mission in Niue right out of high school.
Faimata relocated to Hawaii, where he then joined the Army in 1974 with a clear intent to bring his parents and siblings to the U.S. to offer them a better life.
He married in 1976 and had 2 sons and 2 daughters. His legacy lives on through his 4 children: Faimata Jr, Logologo, Tilomai and Miliama and will continue to live on through his 11 grandchildren.
He is also survived by 7 sisters and 1 brother: Na'oAfioga, Leatula'i, Naomi, Sinavaiana, Viola, Sevena, Leutogitupaite'a, Lopeti Jr. and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers; Toniu, Ailama, Tau'ulupo'o, Lupemua, Taliva'a, and 2 sisters; Elisapeta (1st), Elisapeta (2nd) and his beloved nephew Hiram Magalei.
He loved the gospel and surrounded himself with family and friends. He was passionate about fishing, camping, and serving the Lord.

A public viewing will be held 10am-8pm Friday, October 20th at Mountain View Funeral Home (4100 Steilacoom Blvd SW, Lakewood, WA 98499). A family viewing will take place 10:30am-11:45am Saturday, October 21st followed by a service at 12pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Brookdale Ward (11212 17Th Ave E, Tacoma, WA 98445). Internment at 2:30pm at Mountain View Memorial Park with a reception immediately following 3-5pm at Brookdale Ward
