Evelyn Skuza's Obituary
Evelyn Lucille Sovereign Skuza Evelyn Lucille Sovereign Skuza, born October 5, 1916 in Sauk Rapids, MN to Eva and Robert Sovereign, passed away January 31st after a short illness. Survived by brother Orville (Lily) Sovereign, sister Eva Mae (Henry) Powers, sons Robert (Ruth) Skuza; Daniel (Polly) Skuza, Lynn (Jan) Skuza, R.Paul (Ann) Skuza, daughter Nancy (Carl) Cooper, 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 3 great, great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, brothers Lester and Robert, and husband Reinhard Skuza. Mom and Dad owned and operated bakeries most of their married life. Residents of Tacoma since 1959, they brought the 12th street Bakery in 1960. Mom was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church and the Tacoma Seafarers and was known to her grandchildren as "Cookie Grandma". Donations may be made to the Ladies Aid of Zion Church and the Tacoma Seafarers. (Family only) Graveside services: Monday February 6th, 1:30 pm at MT. View Cemetery.
