Evelyn J. Rembert's Obituary
Celebrating the Life of Evelyn J. Rembert
Our beloved mother was quietly called home and into the arms of Jesus on June 29, 2013.
She was preceded in death by husband, Samuel G. Rembert, her mother and father, Dave and Lucy Bidding, and sister, Anita Stokes.
Evelyn was born on December 9, 1936, in Bentleyville, Pennsylvania. She married Samuel Rembert in Cleveland, Ohio. Their 23 year military career afforded them to travel throughout the world, before finally setting in Tacoma, WA.
Evelyn joined, and became a valuable member of Eastside Baptist Church, where she remained in service as long as her health would allow. Evelyn was a loving wife, devoted mother, devoted Christian and an excellent bingo player. She graduated from Ft. Steilacoom, now known as Pierce College, and worked there for several years as a teaching assistant.
Left to grieve her passing are her 4 children, John R. Rembert, Lamont D. Rember, Anita V. Beck and Peggy N. Wells, 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and truly wonderful friends
