Hello Karen, Rene, Wayne: I am reading about Evelyn's passing this morning as I'm looking at last week's Tacoma Tribune. I would have loved to be at your mother's service, but was out of town for 3 days. She was a beautiful special lady and I know you have good memories of her. Even her folks, the Rukons were special friends of my folks and I remember as a kid being at their home many times for delicious Sunday dinners. All of you have a wonderful heritage through your mother and your dad. I wanted to express my thoughts to you and am sorry that I could not be at Evelyn's service.
Harry and I are retired now, after living away from Tacoma for 37 years. We live in South Hill Puyallup, and are back and active at Tacoma Life Center.
Hopefully sometime in the future we can meet again and share a greeting.
God bless each of you and I hope that you are comforted by the memory of your dear mother.
