Evelyn Frances GrantEvelyn Frances Miller was born at home in Tacoma, WA, to Max and Grace Miller on September 10, 1913. Evelyn passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2006, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur (Webb) P. Grant, who passed away in 1977. They were long-time residents of Puyallup.Evelyn worked for the Tacoma School District as a school nurse fromaround 1954 to 1975. She was the School Nurse at Lincoln HS in Tacoma-from which she herself graduated in 1931- for the last 13 years of her school nursing career.Evelyn enjoyed golfing and bowling, and actually bowled with a Tacoma School Dist. League for many years before Â"retiringÂ" from the game at age 85. Evelyn was also an active charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary FOE Aerie #1 of Seattle.Evelyn is survived by her loving daughter, Susan Dunn of Graham, and her loving son, Jeffrey W. Grant of Bellingham. Between them they gave her 7 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She will be sorely missed by all of her family and friends.There will be a memorial service in her honor on Saturday, November 4, 2006, at 3 PM at the Pilgrim Lutheran Church on 10510 l36th Street East, Puyallup WA, 98374. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be given to the American Cancer Society in memory of Evelyn.
