Evelyn Edith Ried's Obituary
Evelyn Ried, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, went to be with the Lord on April 5th, 2010. She was born October 2, 1924 in Tacoma where she lived all her life. A graduate of Stadium High School, she enjoyed being a home maker, she loved cooking, baking and decorating cakes, sewing and doing all kinds of crafts, and getting together with her friends from Tillicum and Brown & Hailey. Evelyn was happily married to Darrell for 65 years.
She is survived by her loving husband, children Garry, Pamela, Randy and Rodney. Sister Vivian Martin, brothers Richard and Earl Birnel, five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and her lifelong friend Marie Bernardo.
A celebration of her life will be held Saturday April 17th at 10 am at the DuPont Presbyterian Church, and will be continued at 12 noon at the Tillicum Community Center. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Arthritis Foundation or the Franciscan Hospice House in University Place.
