Evelyn Ann Pedersen's Obituary
Evelyn Ann (Schmaljohn) Pedersen
A wonderful person and a wonderful mother died March 20. Born May 23, 1916 in Rockville, Nebraska, she married to the local "hottie" Arthur Pedersen in 1935, and moved away from the farms to Tacoma in 1937. Always the "career woman," she began as an oil portrait painter, an office employee for Peoples Dept. Store, finally retiring from Pierce County Assessors Office in 1976. A very creative woman, she was a candle maker, seamstress, garden club florist, piano/organist, painter, and active in their church activities for 62 years. She was very proud of, and is survived by, her sons Gary and David, 4 granddaughters, and 3 great-granddaughters. In her own words, "God is Good." Services Apr. 10, 2010, 11:00, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 101 E. 38th St., Tacoma, 98404.
