Evaristo L. Talvo Jr.'s Obituary
Evaristo Lastimosa Talvo Jr., known as June, of Lakewood, WA, passed away peacefully on the morning of November 11, 2024. He was born on December 4, 1940, in Urdaneta, Philippines, to the late Evaristo Sr. and Mercedes Talvo. June is survived by his son, Everett (Jean-Marie); grandchildren, Owen, and Declan, daughter, Suzanne; grandchildren, Alysa, Marisa, and Zachary; brothers, JG and Anthony; and sisters, Erlinda, Aurelia, and Pilar. He was preceded in death by his wife, Presentacion; sister, Elena; and son-in-law, Zach Kurian. In the early 1960s, June followed in his father’s footsteps and moved to the United States, establishing his roots in Lakewood, Washington. Shortly thereafter, he married his high school sweetheart, Presentacion Molina. By the mid-1960s, he welcomed his children, Everett and Suzanne, and in the late 1990s, he became a proud grandfather.
June retired as a manufacturing expert at Container Corporation of America. He was an active member of the Filipino American League and served as vice president of the Urdaneta Association of Washington. Since the early 1960s, he and Presentacion were devoted parishioners of St. Frances Cabrini, where they were married in 1965 and had their children baptized and confirmed.
June’s zest for life was evident in all he did. He loved dancing, fishing, spending time with family and friends, attending gatherings, and cheering for the Huskies and Seahawks. He also enjoyed occasional trips to the casinos. His warmth, kindness, sense of humor, and friendship will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
